Services
I help companies build software that works. Here's what that usually looks like.
.NET Development
This is what I do most. Building applications in the .NET ecosystem: APIs, backend services, microservices, full-stack apps. I've done this for small companies and Fortune 500 clients alike. The approach is the same: understand the problem, pick the right tools, write clean code, and make sure it actually works in production.
Need someone to build something from scratch or jump into an existing codebase and make it better? I can help.
Tech: .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, Azure, Entity Framework, SignalR
Legacy Systems and Modernization
Got a system that's been around for a while and is starting to show its age? I've modernized plenty of these. The key is doing it gradually: keeping things running while improving them piece by piece. No big-bang rewrites that never finish.
This includes: API design, database migrations, architecture refactoring, connecting old systems to new ones.
Tech: .NET Framework to .NET Core migration, SQL Server, WCF to gRPC, REST APIs
Team Leadership and Scrum
I've led development teams of up to 7 people. I'm a certified Scrum Master, and I've run sprints, managed backlogs, and done the whole Agile thing for real (not just in theory). I can step into a lead role if that's what your project needs.
Certified Scrum Master, Kanban Foundation, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo
DevOps and CI/CD
I've set up build pipelines, automated deployments, and introduced CI/CD practices in teams that were still deploying manually. It's not glamorous, but it makes everything else go faster.
Tech: Git, GitFlow, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, DSC
Industrial and Embedded Software
I've built software for CNC machines, handheld devices for train conductors, and contactless payment systems. If your project involves hardware, custom protocols, or working close to the metal, I've probably done something similar.
Tech: .NET Compact Framework, Windows CE, gRPC, Protobuf, OpenCV, computer vision
How I work
I prefer short contracts with clear goals, but I'm open to longer engagements if the project is interesting. I usually work remotely, but I'm happy to come on-site when it makes sense. I'm based in Belgium (Oostende), so anywhere in the Benelux is easy.
No agencies, no middlemen. You talk to me directly, and I do the work myself.
